Star Blazers Episode Guide for First Season:
Episodes 25 and 26

1-25. Iscandar at Last (Iscandar! A Dying Planet of Love!!)

The Star Force arrives on Iscandar and is greeted by Queen Starsha. They learn that there are no other Iscandarians left alive on the planet. Starsha takes the bridge crew to her castle where they find Alex Wildstar, Derek's brother who was presumed dead. He had been captured by the Gamilons, and was being taken back to the home planet for interrogation, when a space storm forced the ship to crash on Iscandar. Starsha had revived him.

The Star Force spends a relaxing week on Iscandar loading the CosmoDNA, but there is trouble with deserters, led by engineer Sparks. The explosions on Gamilon have caused shifts in Iscandar's continental shelves. And the island the deserters escape to sinks into the vast oceans on Iscandar.

Alex and Starsha have fallen in love and remain on Iscandar. Derek says to Nova as they watch Alex and Starsha speed away in their boat, "I guess Alex and Starsha are going to be the Adam and Eve of a brand new Iscandar. I guess it's our turn next, Nova..." Let's hope not. We know how that story ends up. (We see Alax and Starsha next in the movie, Yamato: New Journey, which follows TV Season 2).

1-26. The Journey Home (Earth! Yamato Returns!!)

The Star Force is on its way home. But, Desslok, who escaped the wreck of his planet, attacks them one last time. He warps his flagship into a collision with the Argo, and boards it. The Argo fills with radioactive gas as Gamilon soldiers assault it. Desslok confronts Wildstar in person, and calls him "a mere boy". Nova braves the encroaching gas to activate the partially constructed CosmoDNA. Before the machine can remove the radiation, the gas overcomes Nova.

The Gamilons retreat from the Argo when the gas disappears. Nova falls into a coma. Desslok tries to hit the Argo with his Desslok Cannon (a wave motion gun). Sandor activates a magnetic force field (which operates on the same principle as the Reflex Gun the Gamilons had on Pluto) and sends the energy blast right back at Desslok's ship, destroying it with its own weapon. Desslok disappears, engulfed in flames.

Gazing at Earth, Captain Avatar dies at the same moment Nova wakes from the coma on the main bridge below.

In the year 2200, the Star Force returned to and restored the Earth...
