I am worried about my HEAD, Princess Invidia,
when your father finds out WE called Desslok back! -- Dire
Are joo afraid I won't protect you, Dire?! -- Invidia
The Star Force finally arrives at its destination - the devastated planet Telezart, and are greeted by an apparition of Treleina. They descend to the surface of the planet and fight a land battle with the Comet Empire tanks let by General Scorch.
Fearing that Desslok has eyes for the Imperial throne,
and that Prince Zordar has taken a liking to him, General Dire
and Princess Invidia conspire to turn Prince Zordar against
Desslok.
Note: This episode formally ties a lot of plot lines together, as it fully reveals the palace conspiracy that is driving the interdynamics of the non-Earther characters. Dire and Invidia's lengthy conspiracy dialogue shows just how sophisticated Star Blazers can be in general.
Father, I have news. Leader Desslok has returned. -- Invidia
So, he's defeated the Star Force at last.
No! De "Mighty Desslok" has given up de fight. ...Joo put jour trust in a WEAK man.
The ground war is won and Wildstar, Sandor, Knox, and IQ-9 finally go to meet Treleina, under the ruins of her hollow planet.
In the Star Force's herbatarium, Nova picks flowers for Derek to give to Treleina. Dr Sane happens by and says,
"That's very romantic, Dr Sane, but are you sure you were allergic to the flowers? I don't see you sneezing now."
"I outgrew it..."
Of course, I've always tried to picture what kind of "girl" Dr Sane might have had. Was she a "potato-head" cartoon character too? A friend of mine once finished Dr Sane's line with, "Oh, alright, Nova! An hour was all five-hundren yen would buy! THERE! Are you happy?!"
Anyway, back on the Comet Empire, Invidia blames the loss of Scorch's forces on Desslok's alledged retreat, in hopes of souring Prince Zordar's respect for him.
