Contains some very nice symphonic arrangements of the music heard during the made-for-TV film, Yamato New Journey. One of the Black Nebula Empire tracks (#8) is layered with some extra sound effects simulating the roar of the fortress Goruba. Track #9, "Parting: My Beloved" is an especially moving piece making the four other versions of it heard on the BGM album pale in comparison.
Despite the merits of this album, if you must choose between it and the BGM album, know that the BGM album contains all of the music heard herein (though with slightly different arrangements) plus several other pieces not included here.
