Adieu GE 999 is a movie by Reiji Matsumoto telling the story of the Mechanisation Empire's plunder of Earth, and the Empire's defeat at the hands of a young orphan boy, Tetsuro.
Continuing the story of Galaxy Express 999, Maetel, daughter of Queen Promethium I (ruler of the Mechanisation Empire), enlists the help of Tetsuro in sabotauging her mother's corrupt empire, centered at a mechanical planet in the Andromeda galaxy. During the journey to Andromeda on the Galaxy Express rail service, connections are made from Maetel and her mother to planet Larmetar (from Queen Millenia). Captain Harlock shows up as well.
