Queen Millenia is a movie by Reiji Matsumoto telling the story of Planet Larmetar's attempt to invade Earth in th year 1999. Larmetar is a planet which orbits throughout the galaxy, passing by Earth every 1000 years. Each time, a benevolent queen/goddess comes to Earth to oversee it for the next 1000 years. Queen Millenia, also known as Promethium II, is the current queen. But, Larmetar's orbit is decaying, and Larmetar is approaching its last rendesvous with Earth. The people of Larmatar, thus, have decided to move to Earth and take over. Queen Millenia and some of her followers have decided that this is wrong, and have vowed to fight off the invasion by her home planet.
It is suggested that Promethium II is the daughter of the Promethium I from Galaxy Express 999, who somehow travels in time. This explains Queen Millenia's resemblance to Promethium I's other daughter, Maetel.
